I'm for leaving the Lexus badges on.
However,I can't see why some people add a license plate frame that has Lexus script on it when the Lexus lettering on the trunk is 2 ft away.
Me,I just have a quality thin plain polished SS plate frame.

Anyways, I agree that its redundant information. No other prestigious luxury brand does it. However, it does add a balance to the trunk lid, lettering on each side. I can go for either.

lol why was the Rx, HS and LS the only ones left out?
i do like the balance it gives to the model badge. either only have the L or have both.

I like the new look without the badge, plus I always wonder why they had it in the first place when you already have the L emblem.

Agreed, works for BMW and Mercedes too.

The Lexus logo alone has developed nearly the same kind of universal recognition as the Mercedes star logo.

I guess I am one of the only ones who doesnt think its a good idea. I like the extra Lexus emblem in the back.

May take some time for me to get use to, it seems (to me) that the "Lexus" gives the rear balance, kind of nekkid on the left hand side

Less is more

You see the three pointed star and you know it's a Mercedes.
You see the rotating propeller and you know it's a BMW.
You see the "L" and you know it's a Lexus.

There is no need to spell out the name. If the brand is well established, the badge will speak for itself.

I like it much better without the LEXUS emblem. So much cleaner and not overstated. The "L" is enough.

First mod I did with my Mazda was take of the "MAZDA" badge. Less is more.

i think it's a mistake as the backs look more plain and because despite lexus' success, i still think reinforcing the name is worth it.

Looks much, much cleaner. Which is a more positive trade-off, IMO, than the lack of symmetry/balance.

I took the L, the Lexus and the RX300 off the back of mine and it looks so much better that way.

i liked having the LEXUS emblem on there. it was redundant, yes, especially considering how well known the brand is here in north america. it seems like it is incomplete without it.

i had all of my emblems in the rear off, as i didnt like the chrome on my obsidian while i was waiting for my BP emblems to arrive. sure enough i got pulled over for having a tinted license plate frame cover . The dumb cop wrote it as "IS 350". it was as if the ticket never existed. i still showed my license and registration, and it even said MODEL: IS F, yet he probably presumed from the rear that it was just going to be a 250/350. that would be the only time i say go without any emblems. lol

^^

Not to get too far off topic, but I think taking an emblem off an IS-F is blasphemous (the IS-F emblem, not the L) You're wearing the F-Sport name, wear it, FLAUNT IT!! (even though you can tell with the quad exhausts..........)

I haven't seen too many people debadge an M or AMG. Only 1 guy who was driving a super clean E92.

Good move and it looks cleaner IMO. How many upscale brands have both their name and logo on a car? Not a whole lot...
