To elevate the driving experience even further, Yaguchi completely rethought the instrumentation layout and borrowed design hints from well-known sports cars like Porsche and Ferrari.
Another idea borrowed from Europe's hottest sports cars (ahem, BMW) is the newly fitted shift indicator situated inside the top half of the tachometer.

The quickest and easiest way, of course, to get a softer ride is to simply drop the tire PSI's some. But that, of course, can decrease steering response, decrease gas mileage, and increase tire wear/heat-buildup. (an extreme example and its consequence, was, of course, the Ford Explorer and Firestone Wilderness tires). If Lexus does it correctly (and I'm sure they will), they will make actual suspension/chassis/tire changes.

Yeah....tell me about it. I still remember my review/test-drive.
Like I said earlier, it had (arguably), along with the Mitsubishio Evo, the stiffest (stock) 4-door-sedan suspension I've ever come across. The rear suspension (with the recommended PSI) was so hard it actually tossed the rear end of the car up and slightly sideways over some frost-heaves. You are fortunate in mild-climate SoCal........you don't have to deal with frost heaves and ice-damaged roads.

I got a chance to go to Longo Lexus(El Monte, CA) today while taking my car to service and decided to check out the 2011 IS F. I was surprised there were 3 available that I could see red, grey, and silver. Also saw a couple F-Sport IS 250s. Enjoy the pics(sorry about the quality it is a camera phone).

This is great news, 2 seconds faster at Fuji than the 2010 model just from suspension tweaks. The 2010 model is already 2 seconds faster at Fuji compared to earlier models due to the LSD. So all in all, the 2011 ISF compared to a 2008 model should be 4 seconds faster around Fuji
.
Looks like all 24 Hours of Nurburgring races that Gazoo had the ISF entered in are paying off.
Honda didn't get that memo.

Two brief notes:
- Going to 18" wheels helps the ride out considerably. Personally I love the suspension on my '08 F even with stock 19", so I'm a bit nervous about the new suspension.
- I really, really like the sport mode on the steering wheel. It's rather a pain in the current location, and on the wheel also gives it a "racing" feel like the Ferrari manettino.

Thanks for the Longo pics. Can one still get the '08-09 rims? The spiderweb design has not grown on me.
