Have you ever taken an airbag to the face?

This got me thinking how much it would hurt if you're wearing glasses or even sun glasses. I know it hurts like a bastage when my 2 yr old smacks me in the face (and then giggles) - can't imagine what an airbag would do.

I've unfortunately had two cars totaled - in a 13 month period. First time, similar to a poster above, a dark car parked on the interstate in a driving lane. The second time, a truck pulling out of a blind turn in a parking lot straight into traffic, forcing me to plow straight into him. I've had the airbag deploy twice, and saw my life flash before my eyes in a matter of seconds twice.
I don't ever remember the airbag itself. I remember a very violent smash, but no pain, just a numb feeling in my face and dread at not knowing if I was going to live. The airbag didn't hurt, it was just a surprise during an already insanely surprising moment. To be honest, I don't think I even noticed the airbag at the moment of impact, there was just way too much fear going through my head knowing that I might be about to die, with nothing that could be done about it.
In short, I wouldn't be afraid of what the airbag feels like. In retrospect, it's probably the sweetest feeling in the world.
