Anyhow, as you wish, it has an Audi interior (which is as good or better than Lexus), M3-like dynamics, plenty of torque, and, of course, the S5's looks.

A little off-topic, maybe, but that's exactly what happened several billion years ago, when it came into being.

Here....this would be my suggestion (the Audi RS5), but the question will be if and when Audi decides to send it stateside.

I think we have at least 3 threads about this topic anyway I commented in the other that no matter what people will never agree regarding who wins the M3 or the IS-F.Always going to have driver/magazine/fanboy biases here and there.
A better(but not perfect) idea is to have something like the"World Cup" only for cars
German driver from BMW (M3) vs a Japanese driver from Lexus(IS-F)![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Nothing but National pride on the line and bragging rights for the brand![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Both sedans....please just give the people what they really want to see.
(Even if coupe or sedan won't make a difference, I still think the coupe performs better than the sedan,I don't believe in everything I read.)

there are tons of threads on bmw forums about gas mileage. from what i see, it varies a lot depending on driving habits. i don't see a clear cut between dct and 6mt, though my feeling is dct probably is a bit better on gas coz' of the 7th gear. and on cars like these, how you drive it makes big difference. i guess overall i see more around 18mpg?
on my car (keep in mind, constantly 400lb heavier), avg about 17mpg over the past 20k miles. when i do purely highway in a good manner, i can get 22-23mpg no problem. but local kills it all, it gets down to single digit easily.
for the isf, there are a few threads about it too. i know on highway (good driving manner) the isf is insane, i have seen 27-28mpg. but i was surprised when i saw a few people avg around 18mpg as well. i sort of imagine the isf to have better gas mileage overall
on a side note, i would love to see how the gsf does on this, if lexus comes up with one that competes well with m5 and e63. both the m5 (v10) and e63 (6.2L) are awful on gas

Lol! Thanks for the response. I have a lead foot too, so this is probably what I'd average.
Thanks Henry. 17 mpg isn't too bad. I've been averaging 18 mpg in my lady's 335i (twin turbo), and that was pretty disappointing, especially considering I drive it easy. But I agree about the M5 and E63 - I drive a lot, and 12-14 mpg sounds horrible to me.

The outcome would be different if they had drivers from BMW corporate (German driver) and another from Lexus corporate(Japanese driver).Just like an Olympic sport,They would want their car to win for the Country and Brand
![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Sure the M3 might still win but I don't think it would be like in the Shows or magazines....its going to be a lot closer. If the M wins by a long margin at least people won't be too skeptical (not in sport mode or M mode, sand bagging, show or driver bias, etc).
About "they all drive the same" is really hard to prove because every individual feels different.
Its funny I have been test driving a M coupe and Sedan (my brother can't decide) but we noticed the coupe still had better feel to it. if I had to choose I would take the coupe to the track...I am sure most would.
Also if it was both sedan it would eliminate the thought that it was unfair because they had a coupe against a sedan.Just like you don't see the convertible against the sedan.
