Absolutely fantastic design! This IS what automakers should be doing. It's not that hard! The lines are sleek, clean, simple, and aero. I even see some Toyota in the body. This should have been where the SC headed.
Like Audi, Lotus is a leader.

I'm the opposite, I hate the Genesis styling. It's got some very goofy design elements but I suppose the Tiburon has always had some weird designs too. The design of the Genesis coupe is the showstopper for me.

G35 > G37 > Genesis in my opinion. In fact I'm a coupe guy but the G37 sedan is more attractive to me than the coupe.

Toyota claims Lotus as latest convert to its hybrid system

Toyota Motor Corp. is adding Lotus to its growing list of hybrid powertrain customers as the Japanese carmaker pushes to proselytize the technology and drive down costs. A Toyota-supplied gasoline-electric drivetrain will be offered as an option on the 5.0-liter, V-8 Lotus Elite going on sale in 2014, an official at the British sports car company said. Lotus, which will unveil the Elite at this year's Paris auto show, said the “green” version will feature a hybrid gearbox with integrated electric motors and a kinetic energy recovery system that recoups heat energy during braking to recharge the battery.

I don't see the Genesis coupe resemblance at all. Also, the Genesis coupe should never be used as a point of comparison since that car mimicked a whole bunch of competitor designs.

Also as others have already stated, Lotus NEEDS to expand otherwise they won't survive.

Thanks for that link SICK, it looks like Toyota will be supplying a high-performance hybrid system for Lotus. Sounds like capacitors instead of batteries will be used. I think we can hope to see this high performance hybrid setup on Toyota or Lexus models in the future .
