A custom creation from Hardcore Choppers dubbed the P-40 Warhawk has been signed by President Barack Obama and will be featured in a Barrett-Jackson auction event taking place in Las Vegas today through Saturday. All the proceeds from the sale of the motorcycle are going to support military families.

The motorcycle will feature a who’s who of the American governmental Executive Branch with signatures from Vice President Joe Biden and national security adviser James Jones as well as President Obama. Reportedly it was the son of national security adviser James Jones who donated the bike to the auction.

The custom motorcycle features an Army P40 Warhawk "theme" paint job and designed to recall 1950s European race cars. Highlights of this special piece of machinery include aircraft quality wiring, a dove leather seat, handmade two-into-one stainless steel exhaust, HC Speedster bars featuring an internal clutch and throttle. Rounding off the package are Avon tires covering the 18" rear and 21" front wheels.

All proceeds will benefit the Fisher House Foundation, a charity that builds houses and donates them to the government to provide free housing to military families who have a member being treated at a military or Veterans Affairs hospital. The AP says there are 49 Fisher Houses on the grounds of military and VA medical centers.

The minimum bid starts at $30,000.

It'd be worth a lot more without the politician's signatures.
