the new mustang is a 5 liter beast v8 with 415 hp and 390 tq
the 335i's are beasts as well with just a tune intake and downpipes they can get 415 hp with 400 tq

both are around the same price im in the market for both there cars and was wondering what would be a better option. it would be a daily driver so i need practicality

lol practicality, 415hp and daily driver don't usually go in the same sentence.

But if those are your only two choices, I'd choose the Mustang.

Oddly enough, I'd go with the 'Stang.

NA V8 is most likely more reliable than the TT I6.

Can't quite swallow the rear end of the refreshed 'Stang, but I would probably take one over a 335i.

Isn't the 335 a hit or miss car? Either you get one that doesn't break down or one that continually does? Since it's a DD, I'd say N/A is more reliable than any turbo!

The problem is the high pressure fuel pump in the N54 (twin turbo). From what I read, it's either a constantly recurring problem or no problem at all. The engine in the single turbo N55 shouldn't have this problem and gets significantly better mileage, although I would guess it doesn't have the tuning potential of the twin turbo.

They are two totally different classes of vehicles. The only thing they have in common is that their output HP is somewhat the same.

You either want a luxury car or a sports car. Take your pick.

(...and ~400HP for a DD is ludicrous.)

between the N54 335i and a 5.0 Mustang....


I think it's a no-brainer that the 5.0 would be the better choice, especially since an 07-08 335i is most likely a lease return.

When are people ever nice to leased vehicles?
