Not even going to read the 5 pages...

It's not any more legal to go 82 because you wanted in the fast lane, than it is to go 82 in any other lane... Just pay up...

Just take it like a man and pay the fine since you obviously did commit the infraction.

You can't really fight it lol. Your options are pretty minimal.

You fight it, tell the judge your intentions. Judge will pretty much tell you that your intentions weren't shown on the road, you were spotted at 80+, will make you pay.

Or..

You pay up, move on, be careful the next time you cut over there lol

Or..

Pray the officer won't show up.

Or..

Take it to a lawyer who will make the points disappear. It's pretty much a no brainer.

You can try and keep rescheduling the court date. My friend has done that a few times because the more you reschedule the more likely it is the officer won't show up because they are only allowed a certain number of days they can take off with pay to go to court. Your tag says bay area so I don't know about the police budgets there but in LA county they are pretty much eliminated overtime pay for police, so that reduces the number of days they have available to them to go to court (unless they go on their off time which I would think it unlikely, unless you really pissed them off and they want to make sure you get in trouble lol)

good luck!

Increased CHP use of laser pointed at people in the fast lane is becoming more common around Bay Area. Those going over 80 mph are primarily the targets.

First postpone it for 60 days. Then google ticketassassin. Then do your trial by (written) declaration. Worked for me both times- one time on highway one time local. Saved a little over $1000.

Deja Vu all over again. I just got a ticket for 85 at a 65 in the city. I just fessed up and paid the ticket because I knew I was speeding:
Violation: V22349A
cost: $346 ($281 + adminitrative fee $65)
traffic school: $52
total: $398

I told the officer I needed to go to the bathroom

^^, And the cost of insurance will go up in CA (yes 1 ticket does increase rates, no matter how long it has been since last ticket). The insurance cost increase will last for 3 years, because that's how long it stays on record.
