Job well done. A small minority will complain about a couple of minor interior details but actual knowledgeable buyers know these cars have class-leading overall balance of comfort, style, performance, efficiency, reliability, quality, and resale value.

Great post.

You know I don't think we have banned anyone in the ES forum since CL's inception. Talk about a well behaved happy group.

Knowledgeable people will also note (and I noted it in my latest ES review) that Lexus spent the time and money, in the latest 2010 version, to improve the interior/trim shortcomings and squeak/rattle problem of the 2006-2009 ES models, even without a total vehicle redesign. Lexus deserves credit for that. And yes, as a daily driver and entry-luxury model, the ES is a great car.

That's common knowledge here, everybody knows that (since CL members are knowledgeable and not focused on manual climate control **** feel, the many owners of these vehicles here are giving us excellent long term feedback too).

I've driven both versions too.

Both the Camry and ES make great dd's.

Gen6.5 Camry ftw! The only grip I have with it is that the frame is way too low. I can't slam it like I want to LOL

it'll be interesting to see what the next gen ES will look like. my parents owned primarily sedans over this past decade- all being either the camry or the ES, and they have served us well. the interior of the newer ES, as well as the camry, just have that comforting, relaxing feeling. especially in traffic, this can be a great selling point, as the calmer one is behind the wheel in such a crappy environment, the more at ease he or she will be. it's no surprise these cars sell well. well marketed, little maintenance, great resale value, and highly reliable. i raise my glass to these great vehicles!

and that pic with the car toaster was hilarious!

The ES may not be the best car to drive, but I would rank it up there with one of the best cars to OWN. Great resale, reliable, luxury appointments. All good things which is why it continues to do well year after year.

My sister just got a nice pre-owned one and loves it.

Honestly, I don't really care much for the ES (not because it's not a great car), but Camry will always have a special place in my heart.

My family had every generation of Camry since the beginning till the 2002MY.
