True with Lexus.
Included in the Accessory pkg on the RX but a $67 option on the sticker of my Camry.

Great choice.

Bigger car, much better mileage. Much better ride and more refined.

I envy your courage and the gas mileage you both are getting.... Something about the styling of Prius I just can't see myself driving it. 600 miles a tank is definitely kick@$$.

I know, some folks don't like it...to each his own....but I do think the '10 Prius with the 17s looks much better than the HS250h and completely crushes the MPG...which I don't get...isn't the the HS250h based on the Prius?

nope, the HS is based off the camry, and it does better mileage than the camry with the same engine and hybrid powertrain, due to the added exhaust heat recovery systems

Well technically, the HS is based on the Avensis but with hybrid components from the hybrid parts bin.

well yes, technically, but from the standpoint of what we get in the US, the HS's closest cousin is the Camry hybrid. 2.4 liter Atkinson engine with hybrid powertrain.

I dont think the avensis has a hybrid power train yet either, nor does it use a 2.4

Agreed 100%. Prius 3 > Hs250h. Between Hs205h and Prius 2 is a toss up- I can't decide which one is more unbearable to look at. (And please don't take it offensively in anyway, I didn't mean to dog on your newly acquired car at all )

Nice buy Bagwell!

I'm looking to get myself a Prius as a DD as well. Love the '10 styling! Did you get that solar roof?

CPO or just used, what package came in it and how much? I'd like to gauge how much it would cost me.

I was at my Toyota dealer yesterday and saw a Prius V for $35K list.Had the nicer rims, bigger tires, leather, fogs etc but no solar roof.
Saw a Prius IV with the solar roof.

^ Yeah, it can get up there, I probably won't get it new or fully loaded (it will be a daily beater)

Like mentioned, the larger tires with the nicer rims give a much nicer look, very nice.Rougher ride with the lower profile, though.

I also like the Prius with the 17s. One thing is the Prius option packages are maddening...

As for the HS both of you are right. It uses the Camry hybrid components and is based off the Euro Avensis. To its credit (and something most won't appreciate) it drives much more engaging then a Camry.

^^ agreed, you would think Prius V would have EVERYTHING but nope! You either have to
settle for Prius IV or V
