335 all the way......if you can accept the (possible) reliability problems. Alawys said, and still say, for street use, that it beats the M3 hands-down in dollar-for-dollar value.

Relatively low milage NSX vs a New 335i. That's a tough one.

On one hand, you have a twin turbo charged brand new bimmer, with classy and sporty styling. And on the other, you have a classic mid-engine sports car.

I guess that would depend on whether I have a daily driver to begin with. The 335i is more practical, the NSX would be more fun.

Just to note that OP is probably not considering a new 335i, since his stated budget is just under 30k.

I would go for the 335i. For 29k a low mileage CPO 335i can be had, with the procede v4 chip and dual cone intakes the car can be a fast little rocket. The only problem the N54 cars have is the HPFP which is covered for 10 years/120k miles.

Supra/NSX great cars but with that many miles and who knows what kind of abuse was done to them I would stay away.

EVO....If you want class and luxury you surely should not consider an EVO.

The NSX is still one of the only few 'old' cars that still turns my head, more so than a Supra. Too bad most of the ones in the $20k range are usually beaten, or red in color

As mentioned above, you can pick up low mileage CPO 335s for under $30k at dealers nowadays. Not sure that would be my first pick of the bunch BUT it's nice to have CPO warranty to fall back on. EVOs are cool... for kids and track cars but I'd personally not like having to drive one everyday and get all the high school kids trying to race you at every stop light/sign. The NSX and TT Supra are a little old, that's not to say that they're not still good or unreliable, but if you're looking for a nice, sporty DD, I think the 335 is hard to beat out of this bunch.

FWIW I voted for the NSX... haha

Tough one, I really love both the NSX and the Supra. I would choose the NSX, if I were doing no or very light mods( wheels, suspension, intake, headers, exhaust), and the Supra if I was going to do heavy mods( aero mods, big turbos etc..) For the poll I voted for the NSX.

335i is the most practical of your choices. But if you're young and you don't need to seat more than 2 all the time, then I'd choose a Supra or NSX. IS350 to 335i seems more like a lateral swap vs. getting something totally different.

Besides, you're in Southern California, where you can daily an NSX or Supra. Tough to do that in a lot of other states. If you have the opportunity, why not give it a try for a little while? Both cars are reliable enough, and both are no longer depreciating. You'll have a lifetime of driving responsible vehicles later on down the line.

Well i am switching from the IS350 because i want something faster. I don't think ill get the EVO X haha, i can't see myself in that car. And the NSX is too small, 2 Seats wont cut it for me. I guess it comes down to the Supra or 335i.

How big are the backseats of a supra?
I think it would be risky buying a used supra over 100K Miles
Who knows whats been done to it.
But having a 2JZ would be awesome

Supra back seats will fit midgets, amputees, foo foo dogs, and forward facing child seats. Everyone else will be sittin sideways like Paul Wall.

Thing is, if I wanted class and luxury, I probably wouldn't go with a BMW either, especially not the 3-series.

Having spent considerable time in an MR and less but still spirited time playing with a 335i, I actually really like the MR as a DD. The MR has a solid alcantara/leather interior; those who haven't been in the Evo X MR and have only seen typical Mitsubishi interiors or past Evo iterations will be surprised. Like everything else they "softened" up with the new MR, they really stepped interior design up compared to past iterations. Is it luxurious like an LS? Of course not, but it's certainly suitable in comparison to entry-level luxury models.

The only really big drawback in terms of the Evo's "luxury" is that Mitusbishi's supplied NAV is really terrible. It's the worst I've ever used. Even the iDrive interface, which I initially thought was terrible, I eventually got used to and was able to consider something around mediocre... I fear Mitsubishi's is hopeless.

Of course, in terms of luxury and build quality, neither BMW or Mitsubishi will likely be in the same ballpark that OP experienced with his IS350. I think dealer service is about the same between Mitsubishi and BMW - that is to say, Mitsubishi's dealer sales and service both stink, but my experience with BMW is not significantly better.

Since the OP indicated that rear seat space is important, while the Evo and 335i have seemingly similar rear leg room (which both noticeably best my IS-F by a considerable margin), I thought the rear seats in the Evo were actually more comfortable. This surprised me, but I think it has to do with better seating position in the Evo. Of course, I haven't spent that much time in the backseat of either the MR or the 335i, as I much prefer the driver's seat.

Of course, the OP has indicated the Evo is not for him, that 2 seats is not enough, and that rear seat space is a concern. In that case, the 335i is clearly the pick over the Supra as far as the original four models are concerned.

All nice cars but for me, I'd personally choose the Evo 10 first. Why:
-4WD/AWD
-DSG and comes with auto mode (in case anyone in your family doesn't know how to drive a stick)
-It's newer (I think)
