Don't bother with laser detection. Here in Hawaii they have been using Laser exclusively since 1992. No Radar, just Laser. Laser detectors are virtually useless. You need to get a Laser Jammer.

I highly recommend the V1. I use it in all my cars, and it does an excellent job. My Lamborghini LP670 doesn't have the best view from the rear and it still does an excellent job. We typically run as a group, we're all on radios, and all of us have something and it seems like the V1 guys are warning everyone else about the real threats first. I have friends who swear by their laser jammers but I've never been out with them in a group where they had any advantage over the V1. Oh, as for the laser jammers, they do actually work. We have a friend who is a local cop run some tests and they do what they say they do.

V1 is the king. That's for sure. I had 9500 with GPS for a while and it doesnt even come close to my 5 year-old V1.

Do you pick up glints of laser with either unit, as reported by others w/9500 & V1's?
