Default My wife has her eyes set on this...

Mercedes E class coupe E250 CGI Blue Efficiency going for 59,857 Euros. It is well equipped with all the necessary features and it certainly looks great.

My wife is a professional photographer specializing in nature and portrait photos and she earns more money than I do.

Previously, she's relied on public transportation to get to work but she wants something fun and good-looking and this car certainly qualifies. She also requires a car to move some of her equipment and although an estate might be the more logical choice, she's thrilled to know that her equipment, cameras, lenses, lighting systems and such all comfortably fit into the relatively huge trunk of this car. Before this, she'd either use my BMW 118d or her parents Mercedes B class diesel.

Test drive of E coupe has been scheduled for next week, though, I most likely won't be tagging along (work-related reasons).

I've seen them in person and past the aggressive front end the car does nothing for me inside and out. The E550 Long term with EVO only got 9k miles during its year with them.

From my understanding that model you are talking about has the very skinny tires and the CD is .24. We don't get it here, we get fat tire models with a CD of .26. .24 is simply amazing considering its shape and its not some weird looking hybrid!

Good luck. I am certain she will love it, especially if her mind is made up. Nice red too.

Great looking car but if she's a nature photographer wouldn't something in a camouflage paint be more suitable.

Something like this Mercedes:

I would think some type of small ute would be more practical for hauling her gear. However, if she's relied on public transportation to date, I guess anything is more convenient and roomy.

My wife would like this car too, I know that for sure.

Nice car, the latest Benz cars are much better cars than those pre-2006 (I know from both owning and driving various versions for thousands of miles).

I'm not surprise she loves this car. I talking to my ex a few weeks back and she stated that she plan to purchase a MB E350 coupe. It's a beautiful car, especially in white.

Maybe that's WHY she wants a bright-red car. If, by being a nature photographer, she looks at green and brown colors all day, and may (?) simply want a ride home with something different.

Very nice car. I've rode in both the new 2-dr and 4-dr E-Class; very nice cars.

My only issue with them is the extraordinary high cost. With basic options that thing easily tops $60K.

My favorite feature of the E coupe is the pillarless windows, a la CL and CLK. It's like a convertible with the sunroof open and windows downs.

Dustin, it's interesting to me that you're working with a few, fuel efficient diesels. With access to the autobahn, the only diesel I'd be looking at would be a V10 or V12. The grass is always greener I supppose...

Very nice choice. Make sure you get the pano roof option if it's not already standarded not only does it look amazing from the outside it's just as much from the inside.
