My 95 SC is currently at 311k miles: original transmission (5 speed) but the engine is about 160k+

You're telling me that the SC300/400 are built with a 2JZ engine? What about the SC430?

Is the 2JZ similar to the 2JZGTE as in mods and stuff?

there are two 2jz, one is the 2jz-ge (NA) and the other is 2jz-gte (turbo). the gte engine is the "famous" turbo engine found in all the supra turbo. the ge engine is actually used on the non-turbo supra as well. it's also used in sc300, is300, gs300 (08-05). mods wise, some are similar i guess but mostly different of course, because of the turbo

sc430 v8 is 3uz-fe. it's the same engine used in gs430 and ls430

2000 ES300.

Sold it last month after 187,000 miles.
No problems whatsoever even then. Mileage 27 mpg when I sold it.
Did not even change the timing belt or spark plugs....ever.

Only 5000 mile oil changes.

I just got my 98 Gs400, and I love it. Granted it only has 85k on it, so Im sure that helps quite a bit. Since working at the Lexus dealership a few years ago I have always loved their cars compared to turd buckets like Jaguars and Audis. Next car from Lexus will be an Sc430 or a GX/LX if I need an SUV. The GS will be staying a long long time though.
