+100 Well said!

Also agreed.

If you aren't there to actually witness exactly what happened (and then why would you retaliate and not sort it out with the culprit ), it could have been a genuine mistake. Life happens.

I noticed a door ding in my F last month...sucks...but what does getting mad accomplish? It's done, can't make it unhappen....move on.

Once, when I was a teenager. My first brand new car. I came out to my car from the mall and the guy that parked in front of me pulled up so close, his license plate screws dug nice little holes into the front bumper of my brand new car! He got the key. I'm much more mature than that these days.

She said I was crazy & started making excuses. Went to get in her car & leave so I left a fist size dent in the offending door.
whoa, careful there........

Thought of this thread yesterday night when I was sitting in my car in the parking lot waiting to pick someone up. So the parking spaces were tight but if you are careful it should be no problem getting in and out of cars. Anyways, I was sitting there just relaxing and a couple of guys come up to their white Toyota Cressida and the passenger carelessly opens his door without a care in the world and dings my driver door while I was in the car! I open my car door and give him the stare and he says "oh im sorry i didnt know." I was feeling steamed as I felt the urge to retaliate but thought it wasn't worth it for a small door ding. Thanksfully it was a minor scratch. However, it just sickens me how careless people are for other people's car. I mean this guy just whipped his door open like his car was parked alone and I was in the car.

I've had people leave dents and dings on my cars. Each time it happens, they act like they don't car, so I get back at them one way or another. I'll destroy a car if they hit mine assuming I don't take down the owner first.

I don't play that crap... I've had new cars get hit and someone's got to pay whether it's with an apology, cash, or a big dent in their car....

those beat down, lack-of-maintenance cars are the best, since you can park them wherever you want and not need to care about a ding or some sort of scratch. always nice to have one of those beaters as a DD for that feeling of care-free or even to inflict harm on someone else's ride if need be
