But it's an awesome car, one of the best Toyota ever made. Highly desirable if you ask me.
Define best. Definitely not nothing to write home about in terms of its performance or ride quality. Nothing really exciting in terms of features. Durability was good but nothing we haven't seen from other Toyota models (and other makes as well).
So that leaves what... bang for the buck? Yeah. It was a good buy for its time. But I'm not sure that makes it a collectible.
I'm not saying I don't see how it's possible that people wouldn't find it cool to look at. I'm just surprised that so many people think the car is desirable enough to want to buy it. I think the novelty would wear off really quickly.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I considered this car in SE V6 form when it first came out in 1994.
