I won't dwell on the stereotypes of Japanese workers (having actually worked with some in Japan and visiting the US too), but I don't expect production to move completely out of Japan anytime soon. Japanese companies are adept at changing with the global economy as needed.

 

if the yen continues to be this strong, i can totally see this happening. in fact i have been pretty surprised that the prices of japanese cars haven't soared that much here in the US, which makes things very tough for japanese makers
