Default A4 loaner.....pretty nice car.

so my wife's 08 TT is in the shop for a suspension noise and got this nice A4 loaner with xenon, 18s, smartkey entry. Pretty impressed. This is an 09 with the 3.2 V6, I was hoping to get the 2.0T, but the 3.2 is pretty peppy.

I also like the cool key, those are real metal parts.

Nice car, but IMO, the styling of this generation was too conservative. Also looks alot like the new Jetta, which doesn't help it much.

I hate how the A4, A6 and A8 look exactly alike.. I have to look for the badge to tell them apart. The A4 is much bigger then before, while the A6 and A8 look smaller.

How do you like those Audi interiors? Audi and Jaguar, IMO, have some of the best interior trim of any mass-produced cars......better, in some cases, than Lexus.

Audi's are really nice vehicles.
I saw a new RS8 this weekend and it was awesome.

interior is excellent, but the seats aren't real sporty, not much lateral support.

Funny you posted this, i just got back from the Audi dealer test drove a new a4 2.0 Turbo and loveeeeeeeeeeeeeed it. What a sweet sweet machine. Fully loaded without the nav for 37k. I wish i could have drove the 58k dollar s4. That thing was unbelievable. OH and i dont even want to mention the red R8 spyder in the showroom.

You were correct in thinking it isn't available. It is discontinued. It was only optioned on the 09' model year I believe

UPDATE:

still in the A4....this thing is rock solid, not one squeak or rattle even over the bumpiest roads!!!!!

averaging 29mpg with the 3.2 liter in mixed driving, not too bad.

The 08 2.0T TT is having an issue with the left front suspension making a strange noise at very low speed right hand turns (like into my driveway)...they can't seem to find/fix the problem, so the regional rep is coming down from Dallas to examine it and start ordering parts. It sounds kind of like the spring is twisting and/or creaking but the master tech says that's not it. They've re-torqued everything with zero results. I told them to take their time and make sure its resolved before returning the car to me as I don't want to come back 3 times for the same issue.

I say they got adventurous considering how minimalistic their designs were back when the B5/C5/D2 was the current line up.

Yes truly world class, especially on an A4/A5.

Nice loaner. I loved my B6 and was sad when it got totalled. I'm also a big fan of the B8, but disappointed Audi dropped the split dual exhaust and went cheap with a Jetta style set up. The loaner you have is a very rare one year look (V6 only).
The thing about Audis are they have beautiful interiors and handle and ride great. But long term reliability is only average at best and the cost of servicing/ownership is high.
By the way, the 2013 facelift has already debuted.

Very nice, but build quality is not a problem for them, Im sure that V6 will not burn oil like the Turbo 4 does but the V6 is gone, and older and higher mileage A4 usually have some interesting concerns, everyone I know who has a VW or Audi loves them, but will never get one again cause a simple oil change cost a couple hundred bucks cause something always needs to be fixed
