Nice find.

For an ad, it's poorly written though. It babbles on about technical details not designed to sell you on the car.

Notice today's ads don't tell such long stories. A whole page of text will just get ignored. It's funny how it gets into the whole issue of EPA estimates. Maybe because such estimates were something new at the time? Seems like they already know that you'll never achieve those estimates, so don't even try, lol. They're already talking me out of buying it. Just seems like there's a whole page of text that is basically a disclosure.

BTW, was "regular" at the time diesel? Today, regular indicates base unleaded. So it looks weird seeing "unleaded" next to "regular" and being two different things.

And I actually didn't know that there were cars that could run on either unleaded or diesel (assuming regular=diesel).

I think by 'regular', they meant leaded gasoline. It was during the early to mid 70s where they were phasing out leaded gasoline due to its effect on catalytic converters.

OK. Thanks for clarifying. That was before my time. When I think leaded, I think diesel.
