Well, I don't know about anyone else but my wife and I watched this Sunday's (1/16) episode...the Alaskan Adventure...and we laughed our azzes off the entire time!
I don't care who you are "Blurple" was funny!
I also like the fact that it's about an American adventure, using American vehicles.
While I LLLOOOVVEE the original Top Gear UK, there are just so many times when I simply do not get the references that they assume everyone gets.
When Clarkson starts talking about an adventure from "The hills of Devonshire down to the muddy lowlands of Warwickshire on Avon...and we all know what THAT drive is like this time of year, don't we?" - No, we don't! I've never heard of either of those places and don't know a damn thing about British topography!

Great episode tonight! "Beating Tanner"
- Tanner gets a hold of a real LFA to challenge Rutledge and Farrara's time racing an LFA in a video game (same track).
- What can or cannot be drifted. Tanner's drifting abilities put to the test.
- Tanner goes for the indoor speed world record.
- A Playboy Bunny is this weeks guest.
Must see! Reruns play during the week. Or catch it On Demand.

Not a huge fan of the US Top Gear, mainly because of the hosts that are just not that good but I still try to watch it when I catch it on tv. I enjoy the "The Car Show" on Speed Channel more, it has much more humor in it.

I watched the recent episode where they were getting the 'affordable' exotics. It was an O K episode at best. Their humor is weak, their dialogue sounds forced, and you just don't feel that 'bond' between them like you do with Jeremy, Richard, and James.

TGUS isn't bad. It's better than nothing when TGUK is on break. It'll take a little more time to build up some chemistry between the hosts.

What's wrong with John Sally? He's a co-host just like the others? The way you said it doesn't sound too good, just a heads up.
