During a press conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Ola Kallenius, the head of Mercedes-AMG, announced two new Black Series models will be launched in the "very near future."
While he declined to elaborate, our spies have previously caught a C63 AMG Black Series undergoing testing in Europe. We were under the impression it was a mule for the Black Series coupe, but Kallenius' statement seems to imply that there will be also be a sedan variant.
Regardless, the car is expected to use a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 that has been modified to produce upwards of 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS). It will be connected to a seven-speed MCT transmission, which should ensure the BMW M3 won't be resting on its laurels.
Besides talking about the Black Series, Kallenius mentioned that there are no immediate plans for a diesel-powered AMG and the division will focus on weight reduction before incorporating hybrid technology into their products. Lastly, the CEO indicated we could see A- and B-Class AMGs, but those models are still three to four years off.

Pole Position
Nope, not the SLS
Im puttin my money on the E coupe (technically a new car, they did the last CLK black series so it makes sense) or even the CLS
I think either the E coupe or CLS black series will be seriously sick. im seriously lovin those two cars.
the CLS63 curves makes most manufacturers concept cars look dull. MB taking car design to new hegihts w that car

Btw
Is it a policy at MB that Black Series models are only limited to vehicles that only have two doors???
If it were possible though, I would want Black Series to be available in all variants (like what they did in the UK with the C63 AMG DR520 models).
Hehe imagine a C63 AMG Black Series, an E63 AMG Black Series station wagon, a CLS 63 AMG BS and heck an S65 AMG Black Series flagship.
HOT DAMN!!!!

Any of the coupes is more logical.

a c63 amg black series was something i thought would eventually happen. but, given the prestige of the black series, i dont see the c63 black series to be under 90k, if not more. i dont know if i like the black series rims, as seen in the front wheel. the c63 amg's look pretty nice with the split 5 spoke. but the allure of black series...it sure takes amg to a whole new level.

SLK Black Series would be awesome. Just toss in a nice engine and all is good. Just like that dude from U.A.E who stuffed an SLR engine in his SLK.
Small car + big engine = WIN
OT: What would be awesome... VW Rabbit + Bugatti Veyron engine = INSANITY.
