Having a toyota is a good thing in my mind, so it's not a put down to me when someone says that. Of course, to me, German cars are overrated junk, so that's usually my comeback, I'd rather have a toyota than some German junk.

In retrospect, you can say Ferrari and Maserati is a part of Fiat who also owns Chrysler too

Toyota is a force to be reckoned with but too bad their cars are an equivalent to a washing machine on wheels. The masses want a car that can take them places with no issues. Things are starting to change at Toyota.

But better a washing machine on wheels than fail on wheels(Honda)...

I thought Honda=motorcycle. But then I saw the Kia commercial with the rolling appliances.

Doesn't bother me at all. I've said it myself several times when people have ridden in my car. Whenever someone says how nice it is, I usually say something along the lines of, "it's just a nice toyota."

Part of the reason is probably because I work in advertising. So I know branding is mostly bull****. If it's a better car, then it's a better car. I don't care whose logo is on it.
