Default Chevy Volt (updated pics & info pg. 4)

These photos of the production 2011 Chevrolet Volt were released moments ago on a media information Web site.

The pictures of the production Volt show all the details we've been bringing you for the past months--along with the GM engineers in charge of developing the vehicle.

We'll be talking to those engineers and GM vice chairman Bob Lutz next week, as TheCarConnection.com heads to the Renaissance Center for the world debut of the Volt. Keep this page bookmarked for more photos and more details as they emerge this week--and stay tuned next Tuesday for all the coverage of the Volt we can possibly generate.

I think that they did a very nice job with it.

I think it looks awesome, yet manages to not look like a Prius/Insight copy. One thing I'm not to thrilled about is that black area below the window. Makes no sense. Should have made the window line extend to that point in the first place. Makes getting tinted windows mandatory IMO.

I don't dislike it, but I prefer the more aggressive, Camaro styling of the prototype. Maybe this isn' correct, but I don't view the Volt being as sterile as the Prius is. Last time I checked, it was to have 4 electric motors, one in each wheel hub. I was expecting a little more performance oriented. This looks more generic, not what a $40k car should look like.

They certainly changed it more than I thought they would. I kind of miss some of the concept's sharper details.

But it's still 26 months away from release!!!

How can GM constantly bring us these updates and news articles so far in advance. This is going to be so old when it finally comes out.

That looks hideous, that front bumper looks like it’s smiling at you and the position and design of the fog lights makes it look like it has whiskers.

Hmmmm.....looking at the pics again, I'm trying to figure out if this is a promotion for Jos A. Bank suits and apparel or a press release about a new vehicle.

Why in the world are they in every pic, in front of the car!??

Oh dear, I liked the initial pics. Looks like a Prius with a Malibu grill. I do like the rear.

26 months away, wow....

Meh, I like the rear that's about it. Nothing seems to flow with the design from front to back. The side view mirrors are sticking ridiculously far out.

Who the hell are these people and why are they standing in front of the car? The person in charge of marketing/media relations is an idiot.

It's just like the CEO of a company trying to include himself on TV commercials....epic fail.
