And when was Acura ever ahead of Lexus, lol? Unless you're taking between '86 & '89 when Lexus didn't exist. The LS & SC were out from the beginning and were way better than any Acura.
I didn't know it was redesigned in 2009. I don't follow Acura.

Also it sounds like you haven't driven a 2nd gen Legend. Get a hold of a six speed sedan or coupe and then tell me that the SC or LS of the same year is better. I can guarantee you won't...

I owned an SC400 and I worked for an Acura dealer for over 3 years. The comparison has been made.

The SC400 is a whole class of car above the Legend. Sorry.

Some former Legend owners on here ranked their Legend right next to their SC. Having experience with both, I can see why the Legend is held in such high regards. Can't say the same for the current Acuras though.

I'll take a Legend over an SC any day of the week, unless we're talking about the SC400 with VVTi, which didn't come until 1998.

Mike, the V6 option in a TSX is a good move by Honda.I'd have much more interest in one now.
I've read a couple of magazine reviews on the sportwagon and they weren't good.

Old news, and not the kind of news that worries Lexus, BMW or Mercedes. Maybe the next version will be competitive...

um, i owned a second gen legend GS 6 speed sedan and it was great fun, but the SC with rwd and way more torque with the V8 would be more fun.

i LOVED my Legend though!

All Acura is garbage after the redesign. They are just Accords with tech. I loved my 05 TSX. Looked good had style and handled well. Market is just too competitive to justify buying a brand new TSX.

I agree, the SC is an absolutely great car. And in terms of reliability I believe they are a bit better than the Legend. Most 2nd gen Legends get BHGs at around 150K miles.

Some people might not like the Legend but to each his own.

Back on topic about the TSX. Putting a V6 under the hood was a good move. Now they are more on the level of the TL.

I've driven the 2009/'10 TSX about 15,000 miles (did a lot of driving while working for Acura) and I've driven the Accord. We're talking two totally different rides.
I couldn't even tell they were loosely based on each other.

And to those who think the TL is a glorified Accord have definitely not driven the new TL (which I've driven about 5,000 miles). Saying a TL is just an Accord is like saying an Accord is just a Fit.

You're correct on both counts, J-P-L. The TSX is derived from the non-U.S.-market Accord, which is a different vehicle, on a smaller platform, than the American-market Accord. And the TL's chassis/driving dynamics are also significantly different from the U.S. Accord as well. The TL, in addition, offers AWD, while the sedan-versions of the American Accord do not....in the Accord line, you have to get the Crosstour for AWD.

Yeah you guys are right my old TSX defiantly didn't feel like an Accord. Maybe I needed a longer test drive in the new TSX. It just didn't feel the same.

I'd like a new TSX, but it would need a combo of a turbo, AWD, and a stick.
