The irony is not them being the EXACT same car, although both ARE Ford Mustangs. The irony is the flame placement vs. the flame blowoff that was shown. Brings new meaning to the term "Hot Wheels". LOL!!

That looks like a rod ventilated the block (i.e. went through it). The oil flashed on the hot exhaust manifold and caused the momentary fire. If that were a fuel fire it would have burnt a lot longer. Seen this happen a time or two before.
