The C63 is a beast, I was in my fathers FX50S and a C63 pulled up next to me and we pulled away from the light and it was like I did not even touch the gas, and the FX50 does 0-60 in about 5 seconds, at the next light the guy just looked over at me and smiled and sipped his coffee it's a sweet car and sounds amazing

Amazing feat, now it's the IS-F's turn to get into the 10s.

that's crazy. mods for amgs are so endless. by comparison the tuning of the isf is much harder, i think mostly coz' of the ecu

My friend got an '09 C350 and loves it, as do I, but he is seriously thinking about stepping up to the C63; that or he is going to spend the difference in cash on an Ariel Atom.

The part about tuning is true, although I think the M3 has more variety as far as aftermarket tuners goes. The C63's throttle doesn't open all the way, that's why it produces only 451 hp compared to 512 of the other 6.2 AMGs. Getting a tune on the C63 removes this limitation. I would like to see the IS-F have similar gains but the 4.0 is only used in the IS-F and is not shared with any other platform unlike the AMG variants.

Regarding mods, since both are naturally aspirated ("N/A") you are limited to intake and headers. There is nothing crazy for these N/A engines unlike the forced induction ("F/I") engines of the 5.5 or 6.5 AMG or the 335/535 where all you have to do is alter the boost via pulley or tune for pretty big gains.

I can't wait to see how the new F/I AMGs and M cars are modded in the next year or so, it's going to be insane when we see them get into the 650-700 hp range

Amazing numbers my only question do all these mods effect the reliability of the engine in the long run. On a site note we have a forum member already break into the 11's with his IS-F.

i visit mbworld forums quite frequently and I have to admit the MPH mods really do get good numbers. reliability on these modded c63 are quite good, since the engine is used in higher models were their peak hp and torque are much more.
