Wow...nothing like kicking us in the ***. As if we dont have enough to deal with with a 3,000 Mile Military PCS Move coming up...My wife calls me this morning at 11am telling me she was driving through the town square here in Watertown and somebody backed out of a perpendicular parking spot INTO TRAFFIC and smacked her. I don't really know how it happened, I was not with her. She said it was a little old lady not paying attention and felt bad for her. I dont know who this woman is, but I want to kick her ***! Who backs out of a space adjacent to a major roadway, into traffic? Furthermore, you can't see this big *** TRUCK coming right at you? I will let the pix tell the story. Theres at least $5,000 in damage. It moved the bed 2 inches off center as well. FML.
EDIT: Having seen the accident report, the lady that hit her had a DOB of 1925. As such, I do not want to beat her senseless...I do however, want my new truck fixed, fast and correctly.

I am not nessecarily a believer of that. I have seen miracles worked in a body shop. There is no frame damage, I have been underneath it, around it and through it with a fine toothed comb...its honestly all cosmetic. The bed mounts were not torn, or destroyed, looks like it just moved the bed (the holes are oversized and the bolts are secured with washers/bushings to allow for adjustment). I see no crinkles, or wrinkles anywhere. other than the localized damage. I do think though, that the Step Bars saved ALOT of damage. She did all of that with a 2008 Subaru Legacy.

I called the insurance co an hour ago. The lady's insurance co is Traveler's. They seem pretty easy to deal with so far. I have a claim # already and their adjuster is supposed to be getting back to me today. With any luck, I will have the truck in the shop by monday. Whatever happens, it needs to happen fast. I hope I dont end up claiming it on my insurance (geico). My rates are LOW, and I want to keep them that way.
