Earlier today, 44-year-old Moscow resident named Oleg N. went on a road rampage for reasons that have yet to be determined. Russian news sites reported that the driver of the silver-colored Hyundai Terracan crashed into some 20 or so cars. The incident was partially caught on video where we see the Moscow resident trying to escape a mob of angry drivers by getting into his SUV and ramming several cars in an attempt to flee the scene. He was eventually caught by the police and a number of drivers who showed him no mercy - guess the Christmas Spirit ain't as infectious as we hoped...

We have word like this - "таракан" and this is pronounce almost the same - "taracan"
In general - Cockroach sounds in Russian almost like "Terracan"
Very funny. Hyundai didn't think about this when they realise this model
Word "Terracan" in English language definitly means something else!
More like "terra" .. maybe like the king of the offroad.. like "highlander" i guess...
If I'm not right correct me please

Lol, the same with Haiyondie Tiburon, in Russian it sounds like "Ты баран", which translates into "you're a sheep", which is a huge insult in Russia. Some vehicle model names are rather hilarious in different languages.

Guys, you know very good russian ?
I realize that there are a lot of russians in US
I'm just curious.. do you have roots from Russia ?
"Tarakan" means cockroach .. for other insects - other words I suppose.
We have from Soviet union our own car manufture.
Just copy of some FIAT models of 60s.
And called the brand - "Zhiguli"
It's very bad word in Italian language! Like "*****" or "prostitute".

Taracan is a bug in russian, can also be used for cockroach. If you say "u menya doma taracanie begaut" it can be all sort of bugs and insects. But yea I agree how hyndai should of translated that word in russian before making this car. I said DAMMMM when i seen him taking down that cayenne I heard in the video guy saying "ya tvau mamu yebal" in english is like I f-ed you're mom for some reason I thought that was the owner of cayenne.
