Mike - Best of luck with the operation and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks. Hopefuly 3-5 days in the hospital, and a couple of weeks at home.
If I get a chance I will test drive a new Explorer, one of my local dealers might get one next week.
Good. When I recover, the new 2011 Explorer, by CL member-request, is probably first on my review list, too, but it will be good to have multiple-opinions of it....including yours. Unlike past Explorers, this one is going to be a BIG change....from the truck-based Ford Ranger ladder-frame to a car-based unibody. Might (?) lower the tow-rating some and affect its off-road prowess, but relatively few SUV owners venture off-road anymore. The new car-frame/chassis should improve its somewhat trucky steering, ride, and road manners. I'm also anxious to see how it stacks up against its (one-time) 1990's arch-rival, the also-much-improved new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which, unlike most Chrysler products, clearly impresses me.
Thanks. I'll be off to the hospital Monday morning for one of the most important Christmas presents I'll ever get.....new heart arteries. Hope to be back by New Year's Day.
I (probably) won't be doing any reviews for several weeks, but that's OK.......Mike (1SICKLEX) and Hoovey2411, I'm sure, will have plenty of them.
