Going to negotitate on a 2011 Tc today and wondering what to offer for these features:
Base:
- MSRP: 19,275
- Delivery, Dealer Processing & Handling: 720.
Options:
- Paint Protection Film: 395.
- Fog Light Kit: 340.
- Rear Lip Spoiler: 444.
- Alpine Premium Audio: 449.
Somehow, I am compelled to have to negotitate this price, and should I wait until the 31st? What's your suggestions?

Since when can you negotiate a brand new car? Surely, the older models are easy to get a good deal on (all the 2010's that haven't sold)... but on a 2011 that is a freshly redesigned car? I would be surprised if they even do $300 off because Scion TCs are not a hard car to sell.

Who buys new these days there are soooooooooo many deals out there on cars with 20 - 30k miles with years of warranty left. Why buy a NEW BASE TC FOR 20K when you can get a nice used IS, G35, etc... Never buy new unless you can pay it off.

One of the only times it's logical to buy new is if you're a perfectionist or a detail fanatic and want a car that has zero blemishes so that you can start taking care of the car properly from day one and not worry about neglect or previous mistakes made by the original owners. Other than that, used FTW.

you can definitely try to negotiate on the last day of the year, especially the price of the add-ons, but as for the base, it might be hard considering it's quite easily sold. it doesn't hurt to haggle a little bit. and who knows- they might even be in a giving mood to end the year. best of luck!

Unless Scion changed their NO Negotiations on the price of the car policy, I don't think you'll get one penny off the price of the car. Only the options are negotiable. Even my friend that worked for a car dealership that sold Scions could not get any discount off the car itself. For them added options were really cheap though.

I was told that dealership would lose the Scion franchise if caught.
Dealers will give more for trade-ins to compete with other Toyota dealers on the purchase of a Scion.
