Impressive. I applaud the development team of the IS F charged with it's continual evolution. Well done Lexus. I am impressed. Now just make the next gen a few hundred pounds lighter and a slight hp boost (is 30 too much to ask for?!?) and lets go for the jugular in round 2.

what i am interested in is, whether the m3 with comp package has different results
But what about the E93???....F should smoke that pig.

This seems to be the excuse du jour on all the BMW/M3 forums.

Course nobody with a propellor has suggested that it could be equally true that the M3 was run on a day that was more conducive to faster times....lol.

Whats funny is the time the M3 landed wore Michelin Pilot CUPS, track tires not the PS2s that come on the M3 or IS F stock.

The M3 is a fantastic vehicle, we all know that. I am beyond thrilled Lexus has upgraded the IS F and revised it and it got tested and the results are here for ALL to see. I really think Lexus is serious about their "F" program.

This just proves Lexus has what it takes to do the right things. I hope it's applied liberally to the next IS.

Also IIRC the E90 is faster on a race track, and the E92 is faster in a straight line lol at least for most owners but they tested the E92 and got = results to the ISF sedan.

e90 has a bit wider track so people say it has better handling, whereas e92 has a bit better dynamics. but all the results i see, they are very close

Yeah I mean we are talking tenths of a second in the hands of professionals. All are evenly matched.

In the hands of an average owner it would be funny to watch how slow the times would be. In other words its a pissing match and I just drank a gallon of water

The Pursuit of Perfection. I really don't think Lexus is going to just put one product out and leave well enough alone. This is no surprise. Remember Kaizen? Continuous improvement. It's TMC's core value.

The IS-F is still a bit over weight.

Funny you mention that because I have:
1. Not read about it on the BMW forums (have not been reading that much)
2. Did not mention BMW/M3s.
