Best Bday Present Ever!
So my birthday was a few days ago and my wife spent a great deal of time trying to figure out the perfect gift for me. Knowing my love of cars and the fact that I'm down in Vegas for business meetings next week she suggested a driving experience....best wife ever!
After doing some looking around I found this:
http://exoticsracing.com/
You start with a ground class learning about the cars, the track and proper racing/safety maneuvers. You drive with a pro-instructor who rides in the passenger seat. I've been told that you can push the cars as hard as you want, that there are no speed limits and just to be safe when passing.
After the ground class, you take a couple of laps in a H2 to see the track and discuss lines and such.
From there, I am taking in order for 5 laps each:
GT-R ('cause it's the only one I can afford and I will look at it this spring )
F430 Scuderia
Murcielago
458 Italia

Just checked, $300 for 5 laps with a Ferrari. Interesting. I wonder how big the track is. I'd love to floor it up to 150+ mph. The fastest I've ever been was with my old 530i on the freeway at 1am, going 115. But to be able to go super fast in a controlled environment, I'd love it.

I've had my F 165 mph once and 145-150 mph several times so top speed isn't really the goal here.
Here's a vid of the Scuderia:

P.S. My own pics and onboard vids will follow late next week.
And btw, the price is more than a nice dinner and less than a new watch.

Maybe you should try pushing your garage queen a little harder Henry?

The LVMS Inside Road Course is located directly inside the prestigious Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This 1.1-mile, 11-turn track allows for maximum G’s and acceleration with long sweepers, switchbacks, and an 1,100 ft. straight-away for high speed. Placed within the 1.5-mile Superspeedway, high rising grandstands, and neighbor to the prominent Neon Garage, this track puts you directly in the heart of the Las Vegas motorsports experience.
Road Course #2
The LVMS Outside Road Course is located on the impressive Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex. This 1.2-mile, 10-turn road course is notorious for its 3 long straight-aways and hard braking corners. Sitting right next door to the Superspeedway, this track provides a beautiful view of the Strip while flying through the S-turns.
