What is the point of this car with the Genesis?
The new Sonata already appears to be something of a mini-Genesis in its features. If this car has 75% of the features of the Genesis but is within 3-4k of the price, why not just save a bit more and get a Genesis?
Conversely, if this car has 90% of the features a Genesis does yet at a significant savings, what is the point of the Genesis?

All else equal, those long overhangs will help ride quality, but probably degrade the handling. That's because of the lever-effect of having a lot of weight out beyond the 4 wheels.....it dampens the bump-effects of the wheels pushing up under the body over road irregularities, but also mutes and dampens steering input/response. That's one reason why the Lincoln Town Car, a vehicle expressly designed for ride comfort, has such long overhangs. A large trunk is another.....a long rear overhang, if designed correctly, adds to trunk space.

The FWD vs. RWD difference with the Genesis makes sense I guess, if there is a wide enough price gap between the two.
