I agree. The editors are obviously strongly Euro-biased there. Objectively all the studies of brand perceptions in recent years have shown Lexus clearly ranked above Jaguar and Audi.

self park is so overrated. i highly doubt most of the owners ever use it. i had it on my ls460l, it was cool, but pretty useless. lane departure, i think it's in higher trim level and options? led headlights? you don't get it unless 600hl. if you talk about led stripes, i don't consider that "tech" anymore.

i am not ditching the ls460 on their tech, they have some very cool stuff, like mark levinson. but overall, it can definitely use a bit more refresh on their tech too (since 2007). they didn't even get their ipod integration to work right until very recently, if at all.

but with all that said, i do think 6 is a bit low. most of these reviews are pro euros anyway, nothing new anymore

I like the fact that they only picked white and black cars for this comparison.

I don't think you can really find a fully optioned LS sport. Many don't even have ML. I have to say I enjoyed the diverse lineup they tested and kudos to MT for doing something different.

Good thread Mike!

I might have to put you on retainer as my personal car shopper with all the threads you've been starting recently. You seem to be all over my shopping list.

The more I see the new A8 on the road, the more I fall in love with it and respect Audi. Good article.

That's the problem with a lot of brands. I know when car shopping, it was hard to configure certain Hondas/Toyotas. I think it helps keep costs down to streamline production. With a lot of European mfgs, cost is higher but you can custom order your car without ordering unnecessary bundled packages.

The option is hit or miss with the sport. It also has only one interior color choice as we know. That said I still love it and its a great first effort.

I have yet to see one on the road. Audi as we all agree has stepped the game up.

Welcome, glad to see you make it here!

Did the Audi have the Bang & Olufsen option or was it tested with the base Bose system?
