I worked at an Acura dealer for over 3 years and the techs could work on all cars except German cars. Aside from the idiotic complexity of them, they required specialized metric tools. So we had to send all German models to the nearest metric technician. Pain in the ***.

I wouldn't take the love and hate labels so seriously.
That list IS accurate however, and nothing new here. German and British cars always need tons of repairs, Japanese cars typically need few repairs.
