Honda is a company with amnesia, IMO. It's like they got klunked in the head and forgot who they were. Their stylistic and design decline seems to have begun with the 2nd gen Insight. I was hoping that that car's poor execution was a fluke but it was only a sign of things to come. Then came the Crosstour, the Odessey and now this. Over at Acura things are just as frightening.
It's not a matter of this Civic being ugly (that would almost be preferable since chances are that it would at least be trying to be something) it's that it has NO style, inside or out. NO personality and for me, NO appeal. I'm now very afraid of what may happen with the next Accord.

Well the mpg #'s are pretty nice... but that's about it.
In 2006, i really liked the new civic inside and out. However, i highly doubt i would even stop by a Honda dealership these days with most of hondas/acuras current styling. Sad

Here it is....wow... ![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Honda has completely lost it. Its uglier yet bland. The interior looks the same. It still has only 200hp in SI form. 39/41/45 MPG Hwy depending on model. It also seems to be a 4x4.
I am in shock at how this is an all new model.

The wheel gap is unbelievable! Especially the hybrid. It looks off-road ready. What has happened to Honda. It looks identical to the current one exterior and interior. Heck, even the 1.8 liter 140 hp engine is the same. This would have been a facelift and not a complete redesign.

Back bumper, lights, and jacked up suspension look just like the old Dodge Neon. A HUGE step backward.

Honda Honda Honda... they like to be Quirky.
I dont mind quirky if it makes sense...
but they:
1. Designed simple interior to make it appeal to older customers.
2. Managed to fit 14 (!!!) buttons on the steering wheel, and thats without cruise control.
3. Have digital speedo that looks like space ship.
4. Simple shifter that only Mmarshall likes![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
those thing simply do not fit together well... I hope that it will feel like quality interior once you sit in it. Like 2004 Camry for instance - insanely simple and at the same time, sit in it and admire deep, soft plastics on the dash.
