^^ Just what I was thinking. What is the point of having an Insight if your own Civic (a competitor to the COROLLA) can beat the prius. If they are so focused on beating the Prius, then work on the Insight!!
If what they say is true about the Civic hybrid, then I hope the drivetrain makes its way into the Insight, and to a lesser extent, the CR-Z. The current 1.3L mated with a very weak electric assisting motor doesn't really make much sense.

The company released a sketch of the Civic Concept that conveys the sleek and aerodynamic profile of the show vehicle. The production version of the ninth-generation 2012 Civic based on the revealed concept will go on-sale in spring 2011. Agreed, they seem to have taken the idea of 'modern design' way too far. The only company IMO to have succeeded by completely changing their styling theme is BMW (and they got a lot of crap at the start of it). The Acura TL used to be an extremely pretty car, but now it just looks heavy and over the top like it's trying too hard.

Considering all of Honda's recent failures, this is much better than I had anticipated. But the 1996 Ford Taurus taillights are very old fashioned.
