2011 Edmunds Minivan Comparison Test
#16
The Odyssey's option packages are a costly misstep. Picturing myself as a family MPV/minivan buyer, I want a durable interior (no splurging on fancy wood/chrome/leathers/HDTV screens) but also with all the useful goodies (Bluetooth, backup camera, 6sp transmission).
The Quest is the shocker this generation. Nissan's progress in build quality and powertrains has been remarkable. I still remember the craptastic Serena my parents used to have in the 90s, with a 2.0L engine that couldn't get a 7-seater out of its own way. The JDM Elgrand look is a little boxy and I'm not sure it will work on Americans, but it has good stylistic details and is tastefully done.

this is why I don't want the xle (leather, nav, sunroof, wood trim and drives and looks the same as an LE)
yeah, first gen sienna was a joke
yeah, I'm happy to hear the quest has finally step up their quality........and for beating out honda
However, is it fair that they used a $38k quest vs. a $31k oddy???

I used to dislike minivans. But somehow this new generation of these three Japanese ones interests me a lot more. I see so many new Siennas on the street lately and thought it actually looks very good. The new Odyssey and the new Quest are not bad also.

It's quite possible to see more Siennas now considering it was released a few months before the Odyssey. So far on a month-to-month basis, the Odyssey has been outselling the Sienna.
I saw a black Odyssey yesterday and although it's not beauty queen, it's tolerable (relative to the TL). Does it make me want to trade in my current 05? Hell no. lol.
