Default Why do you like your Lexus?

Simple question, why do you like your Lexus? What about it enticed you enough to purchase it vs. a competitors car? Was it something as simple as you liked the color, or more carefully thought out?

It was the commercial that got me. I still remember when I first saw the E-shifting feature (GS400) on TV.

the history of Toyota and Lexus got me. The whole idea that Lexus could be so successful in just 20 years, and the fact that they sought perfection really rang true to my own values. Its amazing what a company can do when they do things right from the beginning. Then there is the whole Japanese mentality that hovers on "the best or nothing" (yes I know the irony here in using a Mercedes Slogan).

The first Lexus I ever owned was an RX300. This may not be a very popular car among enthusiasts, but the car was a game changer. Really the first luxury crossover in the market, extremely versatile to me coming from a long line of sedans. Thats why I bought the RX330 when it came out as a replacement. And 12 years down the line, Im on my third RX for the same reasons. The versatility, the idea of a game changer, and the sheer technology.

Its the history that made me a Lexus fan, but its the cars that make me stay one

After test driving 10+ other cars on a saturday from many other manufacturers and in many different classes of cars, the IS was the last car i tested out and it was the only car that made me go, "Wow, this is nice!" when i sat in it. It's been a loving relationship ever since

4.5 years later... i still like it mainly because of how reliable it has been. No major issues at all with it.

I wanted a car that was reliable, easy to maintain, had a luxurious feel inside and out, powerful yet sturdy, and makes me feel like I'm a millionaire (sorry, the song's on the radio right now ). There are alternatives made by Mercedes or BMW, but pricing became an issue along with reliability and cost of maintenance, and those two, to get the fully loaded options I requested from my Lexus, would tack on many more thousands. Lexus makes such fine automobiles and include some of the finer technologies in their vehicles, and I've always recommended vehicles from their lineup to family and friends, and they, too, have not been disappointed.

I've always been drawn to black cars simply because they're timeless and as classy as a car can get. Keeping it clean takes plenty of time and energy, but well worthwhile. I didn't see any commercials for the IS F when it first came out, nor was I able to attend the various marketing events hosted by Lexus. But seeing it rumored for years and finally getting in touch with my dealer, my dream finally came true. Saving up all through hs and college and taking on numerous jobs, as well as having some great financial advice from elders all paid off.

I wanted a reliable, comfortable, V8 luxury sedan (while they are still offered) with good handicap access. The LS430 won.

Very reliable, the looks both inside and out, the compact size with a strong engine, price not too high and not too low, interior fit and finish, not any other cars I like even more that I could afford.

For me its really only reliability. I pretty much trust any Japanese brand as far as reliability, but Lexus at the time had better looking cars. The Infiniti G37 is up there too for me. In my heart though I still prefer more "Sporty Feeling" cars, so I always return to a BMW or similar car every so many years when I feel the itch.

I had 3 Acura's before my Lexus. The RDX was too stiff, and the MDX wasn't much bigger than the RX330, so I decided to go with reliable Toyota/Lexus and get a clean RX330.

I have been very impressed with the build quality, reliability, service, and endless design, that I began researching Lexus and fell in love with the SC400.

I found a project SC400 and picked it up. I should have it out of the shop in a few days, and I can't wait to finally give it some throttle.

My Acuras were great cars, tighter handling, etc., but nowhere close in the Luxury category. What I mean is the leather, feeling of materials, and just the solidness of the vehicle.

personal experience with toyota. mom had a 1990 corolla that ran perfectly until it was totalled. about 18 years.

I love the exterior styling of the 2IS and it was RWD. I was sold.

My SC does everything I need and most of what I want. Headache free with style that appealed to me. Adequate power, impeccable interior, ML stereo with the ability to drop the steel roof in seconds. What finally made me jump in one was I had owned a Range which gave me tons of problems while my cousin happily enjoyed his GS. Upon him trading in his GS to a White SC430, I knew it was time.

I was always a fan of the MB CLK and planned to pull the trigger on one. But upon learning more about the CLK, and driving my cousin's SC, my feelings quickly changed. While I'm currently in the market for a second car, preferably European. I will ALWAYS keep a Lex in the garage.
