that's gotta suck! the damage looks pretty severe too. hopefully the repairs won't take too long. at least your friend is alive- that's most important.

Insurance is not going to react positively to this, especially since the GT-R is one of the most expensive cars to insure...

It must have been flying or maybe tires were low since the car is AWD? Sorry to see that but now time for mods!

At least he didn't hit a soccer mom driving a swagger wagon. Losing control of your car under hard acceleration is one thing, slamming into an innocent driver is another. I'm glad everyone is ok. Oh yeah insurance hike coming his way. Btw I'm assuming he was on it at the time of the crash.

Isn't this one of the best handling cars on the road? Just saying.

Any idea what the yearly costs are to insure it? Typical costs maybe?

Of course, it depends on a variety of factors (Age, record, deductible choice, coverage, area of living, etc)

When my 23 year old friend was thinking of getting one insurance quoted him $4700 a year for full coverage 0_0

But one of my relatives (~40) was interested in getting one and his insurance is only quoting it at $1600 a year full coverage - not bad at all for a car that is crazy expensive to mod/repair. Im sure it helped that he was 40, no accidents or tickets, and has 3 other cars and a home and boat insured lol

Even at $4700 a year, insurance should be the least of anyone's worries if they are planning to get an R35 GT-R. Cost of maintenance is the biggest thing to worry about on that car.

Well i guess if you can afford to buy the car, afford the gas, and the insurance, you probably don't sweat about maintenance cost too much lol
