I think that is some amazing craftsmanship & engineering. With 680hp, it could weigh 4000lbs and it's still be blazing fast. Seeing that NASCAR V8s use CGI engine blocks, and the stock weight of the Camry, I'm guessing though it's on the lighter side of 3400lbs.

I think it looks pretty good too, in as well as out. Lord knows it might be a good investment to auction off 15 yrs down the line, but I'd buy it just to scare the bejesus out of 'stang, 'vette, Ferrari, Viper and other fast car owners thinking to themselves "damn ricer grocery getter snoozefest".

That being said, for $400K I'd take an LFA thanks.

I'd find it more accessible at say $60k + the cost of the Nascar engine.

Then again, come to think of it, I could make back $400K in a few weekends running bets like "$5K says my Camry can beat your lamborghini in the 1/4"

hmmmm......

lol

have you ever seen a V8 stuffed into a car sideways?? Front to back engine mounting suggest rear wheel drive,,,sideways engine mount suggest front wheel drive.

Full specs on the Nacsar Camry can be found here,,

Its an iron block pushrod engine, so that does meet Nascar requirements. But they should've kept it true to Nascar, and gave it carb injection and proper Nascar wheels and tires instead of the idiotic low profile "dubs".

What they made might be awesome, but for someone who isn't familiar, it doesn't even strike as a Nascar, but rather looks just like your average riced out scion.

It's RWD not FWD, it's based on a Nascar, I donno if it even has doors. It is basically sheetmetal and a fancy engine. At most it should be around 100K, not 400K. It looks awesome though, but not those wheels.

Follow the link and check out the build, that is not entirely true.

It's an amazing looking car. I saw this thing in person and took some time to go over all the small details. Fantastic car. But $399,900? They're kidding themselves...
