In northern CA, they are (consistently) sticking to the 20cents uplift for premium.
It's probably a marketing ploy to get those that overbuy gas (putting premium in cars that are made to run on regular) to continue to overbuy grade of gas. Usually when gas price spikes hit, the sales of premium fuel drops significantly, probably because those that really don't need more than the regular grade (based on auto mfg fuel requirements), start using regular.

You're not really disagreeing with me. I recommended Shell and Chevron as probably the top two gas brands in America. I use Shell myself most of the time.......both because of my Shell discount-cards and because Chevron stations, in my area, are not plentiful (a couple of them converted to the cut-rate Liberty brand).

scary to think about it, but what is going to happen when and if the dollar loses its position as the international currency. God help us when / if this happens. Gas could jump to $6 a gallon over night. Its scary to even think about it
