Quick question (2011 Scion tc or 08 Acura TL-S)

TL Type-S wins in every category, acceleration, handling (with the sharp Type S pack), luxury, looks... 20k does sounds pretty good. Have you considered anything else? I had a sport sedan for a while (my previous E90 328 in my sig) when I was 19-20. I now have an LS430 at 21 and like it more than the sports sedan 3 series. I got rid of the 3 because it had some odd issues (not going to go into that) and because I got a few speeding tickets...lol. You may want to look into getting an all out luxury car. They make excellent DD's, have tons of low end torque, and don't compel you to speed as much as a stiffer sports sedan. Just my .02
Oh yeah, make sure you get a good secure parking space too. It is true, younger college student with nicer cars become 'targets' in a way (though there are plenty of kids here with Cayennes and Range Rovers so I don't stand out too much). I park in a well lit structure at all times, used mainly by the professional staff at the school.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm stationed at fort benning right now looking at cars lol. The TL-S is a beautiful car but back at home New York I park on the streets. There no car robberies there, but you never know right? Especially the rims. I got a question. Is it possible to tell a dealer to get a car for you and pur warranty? Think be extra too?

Is the car being sold at a mom and pop dealer, or an new/used car dealer (like an Acura dealership)? I haven't heard anyone being able to buy warranty from a mom and pop shop. If it's from an Acura dealer, they might have the car under CPO and you'll get whatever warranty they give you.

Some used car dealers will help you find the car you want, but I'm sure they'll charge you a fee and then charge you some more (through mark up since they won't have to tell you how much they got the car for). Hit up some dealers in your area and see what they say. Worst they can do is laugh at you...

You can get an after market warranty from a company that offers it.
Oddly I believe most are automatics. As Meowcat stated, you have to get the manual here.

Id' get the Type- S. A great ride, and one of the best looking recent Acuras produced. The tC is a good ride if it's just going to be you, although between the two, it does carry a higher insurance just by it being a coupe. It's been on the highest insurable car list a few times over the years, so take that into consideration. The Type- S would be a great choice. Good quality build, looks great, and it's less common compared to the tC.
