What sports car would you buy for $32k?

go for the corvette, you wont regret it ..... I dont ...
Go for the z06 if you can... here is one for 34k (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...6-34000-a.html). Its a little high miles but if you are patient you could probably find one with lower miles for the same price

Thanks for the input guys! Heres what I'm thinking so far on what you guys recommended:
S2000 - Too anemic in power and a bit immature, I see alot of high schoolers driving this.
NSX - My dream car since I was 12, but really not practical or reliable to be driven daily. It may have Honda reliability but something going to crap out soon on a 15+ year old car with over over 80k miles.
Porsche (Cayman, Boxster, 911) - Second choice but maintenance costs would be too high for a daily driver.
G37/350Z - Trying to steer away from getting another entry level luxury sporty car.
BMW (M3, M5) - ^ see above
MB AMG ^ see above and freakin $$$ maintenance
Lotus Elise - No trunk space and I think maintenance may be quite high. Also, I'd probably die in this thing if someone hit me...
Mustang GT - rather have a used C6 if I'm going to go with a big displacement American coupe.
Looks like the C6 Corvette has everything I want. Sure the interior and features are 2 notches below my IS250 but the gargantuan power increase and coupe form factor will be refreshing

If kids/backseat needs- new Stang... built to be DRIVEN
If not, Vette- HUGE storage, and true American sports car, that won't cost you a fortune to maintain or headaches finding a mechanic (ie German)

The Lotus's service costs is actually lower than a Lexus, their technicians hourly rate is about 2/3 of that of Lexus. There is also a trunk... big enough for your backpack lol.
The only reason I suggested it is because if you ever drove one, the experience is truely surreal. How low you are the road, the sensations going into your body from the car, how stripped the car is, how the engine is right behind your ear with barely any insulation, its like driving a Ferrari Scuderia with a top speed of 120mph but with poor passing power above 80 lol (unless you get the supercharger)

The Elise actually has a pretty good size trunk for a car of it's size.
Maintenance is a non-issue. It has a Celica drivetrain so it's easier/cheaper to maintain than any car on this list.
The real deal killers on this car are entry/exit (IT SUCKS), insurance rates, and the constant barrage of questions wherever you drive/park it.
Everything else is bloody SMILES. Only buy if handling/track dominance is your only goal, everything else be damned.
Have you considered a Miata? Or is that too down market? For the price it's about the most fun you can have in a car without a hooker in the passenger seat.
And you'd have 10g's left over for whatever you like. Like hookers! Or better yet some mods to man-up it's presence.
But yea I'd say Vette as well if you're looking for something more testicular.
