I saw an Equus on the road coming up from MD too, except it was all in semi transparent wrapping with big 'EQUUS' written all over it on the back of a transport truck

If you caught my recent Equus review, it drives as nice as it looks, too, though its road-noise level, number of transmission gears, and stereo-sound can't quite match that of the LS460. To me, though, anything over 6 speeds in the tranny is overkill on American roads, with our speed limits.

It would probably look even more classy, though, if Hyundai would add more than just four exterior paint colors. On a car of this class, four colors is ridiculous.

I'm guessing it was a test vehicle, but I saw an Equus here in Ft Lauderdale about a year ago, wearing manfacturer plates. It looked pretty good. Unfortunately I wasn't driving otherwise I probably would have asked the lady driving it where she got it from!

It had to be since they are too ashamed to put Hyundai badges on it

Well, if you remember, the first-year Genesis sedan was also devoid of Hyundai logos. Kind of silly, if you ask me, but that's the way they marketed it at first.

I saw a Equus in the loop the other day, it was on a flatbed. I should have snapped a pic.

It does have a nice imposing mass about it and that alone seems to make a statement. Personally, I still prefer the lean, horizontal cleanness of the LS460.

just watched some of the video on the equus web site...

http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicles/2...us/experience/

at one point the caption is:

front wheel drive is to a premium luxury car what clown makeup is to the mona lisa.

Someone should photoshop the Equus in another color.

Like Ferrari Red.

Or British Racing Green.
