I did not realize the Boss was only 40k, having friends with built mustangs I thought it was an expensive upgrade

Well, add some "stuff" and you're at about $44K realistically... then $10K dealer mark-up so $54K right now

Shelby GT500 loaded is $51K right now... both quotes by my Ford GM

Ford is doing great with fuel efficiency and now performance. I have always been a fan of Ford, but hated the previous models. The new fleet of cars are putting them above the Japanese automakers on my list.

Nicely done, not a big surprise, given the Boss was optimized/engineered for a track like this.

ummmm, did you see the same track times everyone else did? The 911 turbo beat the GTR.

Kudos to Ford for making a great car at a reasonable price. Definitely the best deal of the entire lineup listed above. Sure, it won't draw looks or attention like most of the others listed, but if you just want a pure fun machine, it seems like that is it.

I was referring to the old turbo Nissan used as a benchmark for the GTR. I hope a magazine will do a comparo between the 2010 GTR and the boss. Lets see who is BOSS..

Impressive stats and runs from the BOSS! I'd seriously consider one, but I just can't get over how ugly the car is from every angle except from the front. The gauges also look horrible IMO, but way to step it up Ford.

Congrats to Ford for putting out a good product now only if Toyota can come out with a true manual RWD 6cyl or 8cyl sports car.........sigh.

Just stopped by my dealer, Boss versions come stripped (no NAV/electronics), only options are colors, upping to Laguna Seca and Recaro seats, which are sweet!!! Thing is designed as a track beast

Alas, no allotment left in WI, so we gotta search...

GT loaded for $42K + TTT
Shelby loaded $51K + TTT

Working on DD as well.... stay tuned...
