I'd go for the cheapest one..usually you can find these for ~$3/year.

I get Super Street magazine. I prefer it over the others because it was free.

I really like Automobile, but they tend to prefer euro cars. And as someone said earlier, C&D often praises BMW and Honda. I'd say motortrend or road and track are your best bets. Regardless, I get all four magazines lol

I've had a Motor Trend subscription for years and just recently switched over to C&D. Neither seem to be very Lexus friendly. Overall, I seem to like MT better. C&D always has a lot of articles about things I really don't care for like how to shift the transmission of an 18 wheeler.

I get Car and Driver and Motortrend for free.

Neither are really "Lexus friendly". If you ask me, both are more about American cars like the Mustang/Camaro/Etc. Or higher end sports cars like the M3 and the GT-R, not much about Lexus in either. I find both interesting to read tho when i have free time, but don't really prefer one over the other.

I've gotten them all for 20 years and still prefer C&D over the rest. Autoweek was once good, but they talk more about racing and history than reviewing everyday cars. Motor Trend makes the most mistakes, and focusses too much on American Muscle junk. Automobile is pretty good, but I still find C&D's opinions closest to my firsthand experiences.

I don't feel that's the case, but simply that they cover cars globally, and the American market truly is only a fraction of that, albeit a large one. I agree that if you want something focused solely on the American market, though, Automobile is not that.

But the advantage of their style is that you get cool articles like "The best M3s America never had" where they compare US spec vs EU spec E30s, E36s, E46s, and E92s, and not only what the car was, but why it came about.

evo is worth the annual subscription. With promotions it can get down to about $90 per 12 issues. I used to just buy at B+N/Borders but sometimes they would sell out within the first few days of availability and other times every single one on the rack would be read through or damaged and I got sick of that (plus my closest Borders just closed).

CAR is worth the occasional buy. I don't subscribe.

For the OP though, since these are British mags, neither is friendly to Lexus. I especially didn't like CAR ******* the LFA against the SLS primarily because it wasn't as good a daily driver.

I don't bother with the US magazines.

I like MT and RT the best because they are the few who take price into account. I hate when I see ferrari vs porsche vs corvette. So they have similar HP numbers, big deal. at the end of the day cars are not in the same league by performance but by price because that is how people buy cars. They pay with cash not with 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.
