Watching the episodes, they're always under stupid ridiculous deadlines, and I'm assuming that has alot to do with the work being rushed. Proper work takes lots of time , but the extra hours are always reflected in the end product.

Cool car, but as a fan of the movie, it doesn't remind me of anything in the movie except the clear wheels with lights...
The vehicles in the movie, although shiny, don't have that chrome finish, for sure - the lightcycles are gloss black or white, and the lightrunner is gloss black as well... they might even be a dark, highly reflective gunmetal, but definitely not chrome... even if they were chrome, because of the colors in the movie, they would never reflect like that car...
to me, to make a tron like car, they should have inlaid lights along the contours of the car, along with, as mentioned above, deeper dish clear wheels - think, wide body with 10" wheels up front and 13" wheels out back...
In fact, the more I watch the video, the more I don't like the car...

I really like the idea of chrome, but I was completely disappointed when the episode was nearing its end and the car was unveiled. It looks like those guys that did the wet sand on the clear coat didn't do a very good job of correcting the paint and polishing it properly afterwards. You could see HEAVY swirls and scratches all over the finish which is rather embarrassing for an important project like this.
But then again, had they not been under tight deadlines, maybe the outcome would've been a bit more proper.
