cars get towed from assigned spots in miami hi-rises all the time. and thats not $25...thats $250.
ive seen many ppl (those that cant speak spanish) unable to dispute/resolve the problem with their bldg mgmt/third party towers. sometimes it results in moving, in general...parking lot issues are usually the main reason as to why move-out of certain bldgs....its stupid **** like this that makes car insurance he 4x the national average.
you got nuthin on your $25 complaint.

1. Get paperwork from your complex management showing assigned spot number along with the tag number of your car on their paperwork. Nine times out of ten, they are called by someone from your complex for the violation. Since they assigned the spot to you, there had to be SOMEPLACE on the paperwork in which you filled out which states what your tag number is.
2. Ticket is/should be void since he CLEARLY stated the wrong model of your car despite having the car right there in front of him along with the tag number.
3. Worse comes to worse,,it is not a moving violation and the amount is minimal. Yeah I know it sucks to be ticketed for something you are not wrong for, but in the long run it may cast you more than what the ticket is worth to fight it. Pick and choose your battles.

@ trukn1 thanks for the pointers, im looking thru paper work to see where it states the parking spots.
@xuserx04 yea man its a headache, one second im trying to somewhat detail my car and the next second i see a ticket on my windshield. I guess its part of life. Thanks for showing some sympathy

Is that a reserved street spot? How are the cars identified that are allowed to park there? I've heard of lazy cops that just ticket the whole street and let people sort it out because they are too lazy to wipe the snow off and look for parking permits. Obviously, it isn't snowing there, but maybe some similarly lazy cop.

What if you ignored it? Ticket has the wrong model, you didn't park in the wrong spot, if they confronted you about it what proof do they have it was your car? Is the plate # written on the ticket? What if the ticket was issued to someone else and that person found another black Lexus in the parking lot and you just so happened to have been that person?

^^^^ yea there is another Lexus that parks around the area but its white. Im not sure if they meant to get his car. But i emailed the cop and also waiting for a phone call.
It is a assigned spot, I have one spot directly in front of the house and another a lil further away where everyone else has there second pakring spot.

^Well then that's my question. If you didn't commit any infractions couldn't you just ignore it and if they contact you, just tell them to tell you what the problem is? Then again they would probably ticket you for inaction for their mistake, so don't take my advice.
