My neighbor works at a nuclear site here in Illinois.

He said buying anything from Japan right now is dangerous to your health

Do you think he's crazy?

Probably.

If he's concerned about radiation, just know that people are getting radiation everyday from anywhere, from everything, and from everyone.

So, just buy Japanese. Nothing to fear.

Yes he is crazy. Not an issue.

I would not buy used though! Flood parts will be coming out of Japan for the next three years.

Using your phone will give you radiation.

The only thing i would be concerned about is if the car is flooded

It is very likely that cars shipped from Japan after the tsunami have harmless traces of radiation on them. If the guy who works at the nuclear site buys one, he will probably set off the plant's detectors when he drives into the parking lot.

I read that the reason the nuclear powered US aircraft carrier cleared the area and was scrubbed down was because of the chance of pulling even a small amount of radiation into the HVAC system. They feared it would set off their safety monitors for years afterwards.

That is why buying German and Korean will become better choices.

When Ferdinand Piech celebrates his 74th birthday on April 17 in his villa in Salzburg, Austria, with his wife, Ursula, his youngest son, Gregor, and other close family members, he likely will look back at his career and break into a big, satisfied smile.

The chairman of Volkswagen AG's supervisory board wants to turn Volkswagen Group into the world's largest automaker.

Dump Sony, Canon, Nikon...etc too.

He works at the Byron Nuclear plant.

He said check to see how close the manufacture is to the reactor.

He thinks Japan is not telling the whole story and radiation is much higher than officials are saying. The American troops who were helping in that area will be dead soon or later from the increased exposure.

What a downer.

Does he glow in the dark? (It was already asked if he worked at front gate.)
